Merry Christmas!
I don’t have much to say today, except Merry Christmas!
I’ll add a few more of my favorite writing quotes to keep you inspired.
“As for my next book, I am going to hold myself from writing it till I have it impending in me: grown heavy in my mind like a ripe pear; pendant, gravid, asking to be cut or it will fall.” Virginia Woolf
“I write in order to attain that feeling of tension relieved and function achieved, which a cow enjoys on giving milk.” H.L. Menken
“It is just as well that it came to an end. The endless cohabitation with these imaginary people had begun to make me not a little nervous.” Henrik Ibsen
“There will be a couple moments during the process of writing a book when I will really feel an encounter with God. And I’ll know that what I’m writing is something that he’s showing me, and that’s why I write.” Francine Rivers
I hope you and your family enjoy a blessed celebration of Christmas.
I’m adding these quotes to my Encouragement folder. Thanks!
Merry Christmas to you and yours, too!
I love the last quote from Francine Rivers. That IS why we write, or should be.
Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Hi Nick, this is a years-late comment. I’m going through your Writer’s Blog posts from start to finish and finding the progression edifying and educational. It’s fun to read your thoughts, and I’m getting a clearer picture of the publishing industry and CBA for sure. Landed here tonight and love all four quotes, particularly the tension relieved and function achieved. Getting some good words down probably does feel as good as an empty udder.
